Introduction

Welcome to ParliamentaryPro.com!

This web site is intended to be both an introduction to my services, as well as a resource for those interested in learning more about parliamentary procedure. I hope you will find it both useful and informative.

My name is Bruce Bergman, and I am an experienced Parliamentarian, and credentialed Registered Parliamentarian (RP) with the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP). I have been involved in parliamentary procedure circles since the 1980’s, when I first joined a “parli pro” debate team during my high school years. Since that time, I have coached many organizations and individuals on parliamentary topics such as proper use of Robert’s Rules of Order, making motions, elections, board of director operations, bylaws creation and interpretation and more. I enjoy helping organizations get the most from parliamentary procedure, making their meetings more productive, better utilizing everyone’s time and resources, and seeing the benefits that come from that.

To help you navigate this web site, I have divided it into four main areas:

  • A list of roles and services that I can perform for you or your organization
  • My own personal educational postings, such as my Thought Blog, formal opinions I’ve written, and brainteasers
  • The key concepts of parliamentary procedure and parliamentary practices
  • Resources for further information, including useful links, an online bookstore and articles from other Parliamentarians and experts in the field.

As you browse through the web site, I hope you will find the information presented here to be well organized and helpful for your needs. If you have any comments or suggestions, or would like clarification on any item, please contact me — I am always looking to improve this web site and your input is valued.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope to hear from you soon!
